The Cleaner Futures EPSRC Prosperity Partnership held its project kick-off meeting at the University of Liverpool on 4 April 2022. The in-person event was attended by the full team, including lead investigators, post doctorate researchers, and PhD students across the partnership – Unilever, University of Liverpool, and University of Oxford. The day began with team introductions, followed by a presentation by industry lead, Dr. Ian Howell, on the importance of the project to Unilever. This was followed by a presentation on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion to promote the importance of a diverse team and communicate these values to the team. The morning finished with technical presentations on the work packages. The afternoon featured breakout sessions to promote cohesion and collaboration within the team, including tours of the Materials Innovation Factory, where the Unilever and University of Liverpool teams are based.
