The growing partnership between the University of Oxford and the University of Liverpool is strengthening the UK’s capacity to tackle global challenges through collaborative research, innovation, and skills development. Following a 2026 Memorandum of Understanding, the two universities are aligning their research strengths, innovation hubs, and regional networks to tackle global challenges such as sustainable materials, climate resilience, and green manufacturing. By bringing together researchers, industry partners, and policymakers, the partnership is helping to remove barriers to scaling clean technologies, strengthen skills pipelines, and support highgrowth companies working toward a lowcarbon, circular economy which directly reinforces the mission of the Cleaner Futures project.
