On 14 November 2024, coinciding with Sustainable Chemicals and Materials Day, the UK Alliance for Sustainable Chemicals and Materials (UK-ASCM) was launched. Members of the Prosperity Partnership team (Prof. Charlotte Williams and Prof. Matthew Rosseinsky) were among partners.
The UK-ASCM aims to drive innovation and sustainability in the UK chemicals and materials sector. It unites industry, academia, and innovation centres to support sustainable solutions, aiming to make the UK a leader in green supply chains and economic resilience. The alliance urges the government to create policies supporting sustainable feedstocks, circular economies, and green manufacturing, with a focus on achieving net-zero targets and strengthening domestic supply chains.
